Mr. Goswami has over 36 years’ International experience in multifaceted roles as a Welding & Metallurgical Engineering Specialist in Chemicals/ Petrochemicals, Refining, Upstream Oil and Gas Industries, and Power Generation industries. Over the years, he has been a familiar name for his strong and good technical advices in many technical forums such as Linked-in, Eng.-Tips, Welding-Materials Group and NACE Corrosion Engineering Forum. The presenter has excellent knowledge base on Materials Selection, Welding, Metallurgical and QA Standards for Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, High Pressure Piping, Pumps & Valves used in refineries, petrochemical, oil and gas production & separation plants. Such experiences are borne out from thorough familiarity with various ASME Codes, NACE, DNV & API standards and recommended practices applicable both for major upstream and downstream oil and gas production and refining environment. He obtained Master’s Degree (Metallurgy-Welding) with Honors from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, India, in 1983. He is Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario Canada, International Welding Engineer (IWE), and Canadian Welding Bureau Certified Professional Welding Engineer–“Welding Procedure & Practices”. Currently he is working as a Consultant-Welding and Metallurgical Engineering with a major Engineering and Consulting (EPCM) organization in Canada.
